Skull emoji
I thought I'd have a bit of a crack at my own skull emoji - this is where he's at. The funny thing about making emojis, for me at least, is that the simpler they appear to be, the trickier they often are to create.
It's also why some people believe they can see a face carved into the surface of Mars, (a phenomenon known as face pareidolia). It's cool and weird all at the same time eh?
Well, that's my take on the skull emoji.

Humans can often recognize the buried fragments of an only partially revealed cranium even when other bones may look like shards of stone. The human brain has a specific region for recognizing faces, and is so attuned to finding them that it can see faces in a few dots and lines or punctuation marks. Human skull symbolism | Wikipedia
